Refund and Returns Policy

VII. Cancellation and Refund PVII. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Payments for individual tutoring services are non-refundable except for documented emergencies. All refunds for tutoring packages will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Refunds for tutoring packages will be given at our sole discretion. In the case of the tutoring package refunds due to early cancellations or any other reasons, the refund will be calculated as the leftover value after subtracting the charge for actual tutoring hours that took place plus any appointments scheduled within a 7-day window from the time of request at the hourly rate at the time of signing up (current rate is $300 per hour).
- When you purchase a tutoring package you will receive an invoice for the entire package or a set of installment invoices with corresponding due dates. Your regular schedule will not be confirmed until we receive the full payment or the first installment. If you are past due on any of your installment payments, you authorize us to automatically charge the last payment method on file used for your previous payment. We may at our discretion send you a courtesy reminder instead of automatically charging your payment method.
- If an automatic payment fails and/or you do not provide us with a new payment method within 48 hours from the due date we reserve the right to suspend the tutoring services and require a full payment for the remainder of the package to restart the meetings. Should any regularly scheduled meetings fall onto the period between the suspension and restarting of the services, those meetings will be counted as a “no show” and not eligible for refund and/or reschedule.
- A payment for the single appointment must be received for the appointment to be scheduled. We cannot reserve a time without the full payment for the appointment.
- We require a 48-hour notice for any cancellations and rescheduling requests for scheduled tutoring meetings. Any cancellation and/or rescheduling request given in less than 48 hours before the scheduled meeting time will be handled on a case-by-case basis and we may not guarantee the cancellation or reschedule at that point.
- Any rescheduling request is considered a cancellation and a subsequent scheduling of a new appointment. Rescheduling is subject to the tutor’s schedule and availability and is not automatically guaranteed.
- Downloadable materials and membership tiers giving access to downloadable materials (Self-Study, Guided and Semester Pass) are non-refundable except for erroneous double charge instances.
You cannot un-download something that has been downloaded 😉 - WE CANNOT PROVIDE REFUNDS FOR RENEWAL PAYMENTS for the membership subscriptions. The “My Subscription” section (tab) of “My Account” page will clearly show the exact date of your subscription renewal and the immediate cancellation option. IT IS CLIENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO CANCEL THEIR SUBSCRIPTION PRIOR TO THE NEXT BILLING CYCLE to avoid the renewal charge.
- A tutoring package may be terminated early. If you terminate your individual tutoring package, any remaining prepaid balance will be subject to the refund policy described in paragraph 1 of this section.
VII-a. Breaks, Holidays, and Weekly Appointments Scheduling Policy
When a student reserves a weekly slot for the semester, that time is held exclusively for that student each week, including during holidays, school breaks, and travel periods.
When I take on a student for the semester, I don’t take vacations, I don’t observe holidays, and I don’t skip weeks. Your slot is protected and waiting for you every single week.
Because of this commitment, all standing weekly appointments are billed continuously, even if your school is on break, you’re traveling, there’s a national holiday, or you simply choose not to attend that week. You’re welcome (and encouraged) to show up and use the time — or take the week off — but the slot stays yours and will not be reassigned.
The only exception to the continuous billing policy applies when a missed session is due to my error or unavailability. If I cancel or cannot attend a scheduled appointment, that session will not be billed. Any missed session on the student’s side, regardless of reason, remains billable.
Rescheduling may be possible for genuine “life happens” situations depending on my schedule and availability. But the weekly billing applies regardless of attendance. This policy exists because I’m committing my time, expertise, and availability to you without interruption. In return, I expect the same consistency and respect for the schedule.
This policy is not negotiable, and it exists so that I can provide consistent, uninterrupted support to the students I work with.
